Being a woman in tech means having the opportunity to be a leader, innovator, and mentor. It means having the opportunity to create meaningful change in the industry and to make sure that the tech world is a more inclusive and equitable space. It also means having the chance to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create more diverse and inclusive teams that reflect the world we live in.

Being a woman in tech gives the opportunity to show younger women that it can be done. It opens up the ability to educate others who want a career in tech. To become mentors to the beginners so that they rise up and enjoy being a woman in tech. We show them how far we have gone so they can take the greatness of being a woman in tech that much farther.
Being a woman in tech has been one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever done. It is so rewarding to share my love for WordPress with the world at WordCamps, Meetups, down to one on one conversations with others. It was a great experience to be a WordPress 5.6 Release Team Lead which was the first ever software version release that was ran by a full women/non-bianary lead team. We are making history!
